We get that you'd like to have your listings ranked high in the search results when someone searches for gear that is related to your listings. We use an advanced search algorithm that takes into account the proximity of your listing related to the renter's address, the ratings you got for previous bookings, the title + description texts matching with the search query and so on.
Please note however that when you offer two or more listings on Gearbooker that are somewhat similar to each other and both matching with the search query of a renter, we will only show one of your listings. This is because we show a maximum of one listing per renter in each list with search results. This way, all displayed gear owners get an equal chance of receiving clicks and booking requests.
There are a few ways however to influence the ranking you get in the search results. One of the best way to get a high ranking is by boosting your listing. Click on the link to learn more about this.
Also we wrote an article with lots of tips and tricks on how to improve your listing's ranking. Hope that'll be useful too!
