As long as during the booking period the necessary care is taken into account by the renter, you don’t have to worry too much. Insurers refer to this as ‘the good diligence principle’. This means, for example, that you do not simply leave the rented items out of sight, that you properly lock the areas in which the item(s) are being kept if you are not there and that you are not reckless. The insurer can and will, in case of doubt, require clarification about this before they pay damages. Please read the rental agreement and insurance conditions carefully when booking an item. For some categories, such as drones, special insurance conditions apply. You will see them clearly on your screen when listing and/or renting such an item.
