With some bookings, owners are requested to take photos of the renter's ID at the time of picking up / handover of the rented item(s). This makes it possible to verify that the person collecting the equipment is the same person who placed the booking. (Note: the photos will not be stored on your device but — in accordance with GDPR guidelines — will be stored on our platform).
Of course, Gearbooker will also request proof of ID prior to paying for the booking.
(PS after you've taken the pictures, the button to (re)take the photos is still available, that is normal. As soon as you see the green message saying 'the photos of the renter's ID have been submitted successfully' you're alright!)
